What inspired the founding of your brand?

We stand by the belief that mother nature herself is the best source of medicine. To receive this healing power, we need modern medical science and innovative biotechnologies to extract and validate those unique phytochemicals from medicinal plants, such as ginseng. Our scientific team has dedicated the last three decades to doing precisely that; by marrying traditional medicine and modern biopharmaceutical science. This philosophy led to the creation of COLD-FX® and later GenBioChem® line, medicinal plant-derived products for health and wellness.

What are your brand’s core values?

We deliver safe, effective, evidence-based, naturally derived health products at PBG. Our promotion of health and wellness is led by dedicated research and innovation to the development of breakthrough biotechnologies and products for our customers.

Describe one way you try to keep innovating with your brand.

Talk about a roadblock or a challenge you faced as a business owner; have you overcome this? If so, please tell us how you did or how you’re working on it.

Our biggest challenge has been the long wait times for some of our facility and product licences. We powered through the construction, expansion and installation of our brand-new laboratories and manufacturing facility during the COVID-19 pandemic. Yet, unexpected delays in the regulatory approval process held up our production and product sales. Luckily, through vigorous effort, we received all our necessary production, analytical testing and sales licenses, allowing us to accelerate our business.

What inspires you to keep going every day?

Coming to work every day, we feel incredibly grateful to be able to use the knowledge and experience gained over the last three decades. We strive to address people’s medical and health needs. Our team of dedicated scientists has a proven track record of committing to research, development, and innovation. Their research has resulted in many breakthrough technologies and innovative health products. We believe there are plenty of opportunities to improve people’s health and quality of life in the modern world by using all available resources, including experience, research, and technology.

How did you know you had a good product-market fit?

By conducting robust laboratory and clinical research and understanding consumer behaviour, we can ensure that our products cater to current markets and satisfy people’s need for naturally-derived health products.
